We recycle your leftover household paint and empty paint cans!
We recycle your leftover household paint and empty paint cans!
The Nova Scotia Paint Recycling program administered by ReGeneration provides consumers of residential-use paint with collection sites to drop off household paint cans throughout Nova Scotia, at no charge.
Most household paints and all paint aerosols are accepted for recycling.
The paint recycling program was implemented in 2002 by Divert NS
when regulations banned all paint from going to the landfill.
When you purchase paint, an Environmental Handling Fee is applied
to your purchase to cover the cost of the paint recycling program.
That allows you to drop it off to us free of charge when
you decide you can't stand that colour any longer!
The program is now run by ReGeneration a federally incorporated not-for-profit agency company.

We currently accept consumer paint in the following container sizes:
Household paint up to 25 litres
Aerosol paint spray cans (660 grams or 24 oz.)

Do NOT leave accepted program items outside after hours.
We are open 6 days a week, please visit us during that time.
Ask our staff for assistance with your products.
We do NOT accept household hazardous waste/household special waste products.
These items MUST be disposed of properly. They must NEVER be dropped off or left on site as it could be very danergous for our staff, customers or animals to come into contain with these extremely hazardous products.
Remember HSW products are free to dispose of to all residents. They are open limited Saturdays and are located in Bayer's Lake.
CALL 311 with any questions regarding HSW.
They also have mobile sites in various communities during the spring and summer. We will let you know when these occur in the community.
Please dispose of these chemicals properly and for free!
